After working in Air India for 32 years, Meher enrolled for the “Teach India English” programme and took classes for conversational English. She later volunteered as an instructor for “English conversation” at the National Association for the Blind where students were enrolled for a 2 year diploma course in perfumery. Teaching conversational English to visually impaired students was a very fulfilling task. The students were very keen that they should be able to face the world and talk confidently. This led to her volunteering at “Aesthesis Foundation for the visually impaired.” The classes in conversational English not only help the students to improve their English but also give them a lot of confidence during job interviews and in interacting with people from different walks of life.
